1.Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what cookies the Acquisera platform (acquisera.com) sets, why we set them, and what choices you have. This policy applies to all pages of the Acquisera website and platform.
This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, both of which are incorporated by reference.
By continuing to use the Acquisera website after being presented with this Cookie Policy, you acknowledge the use of cookies as described herein. Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will request your consent separately.
2.What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your browser or device when you visit. Cookies let websites remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in, your preferences, or your session state. That keeps the site working correctly and your experience consistent across pages.
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies: temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies: cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
- First-party cookies: set directly by Acquisera on the acquisera.com domain.
- Third-party cookies: set by a third-party service operating on our behalf (such as Stripe during a checkout flow).
3.Cookies We Use
Acquisera uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that build profiles across websites. Our cookie usage is limited to what is necessary to operate the platform securely and process payments.
3.1Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality such as login, session management, and security. They do not track you for advertising purposes.
| Cookie Name | Type | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Essential | Stores your authenticated session. Required to remain logged in across pages and requests. | Supabase | Session / up to 1 week (refreshed on activity) |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | Essential | PKCE code verifier used during the OAuth authentication flow. Prevents authorization code interception attacks. | Supabase | Session |
3.2Payment Processing Cookies
When you initiate a subscription or payment, Stripe sets cookies to support secure payment processing and fraud detection. These cookies are set on Stripe's domain, not the Acquisera domain, and are governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies.
| Cookie Name | Type | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|
| __stripe_mid | Payment / Fraud Detection | Stripe device fingerprinting cookie. Used to detect fraudulent activity during payment processing. | Stripe, Inc. | 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Payment / Fraud Detection | Stripe session identifier for payment fraud prevention. | Stripe, Inc. | 30 minutes |
Stripe's cookie and privacy practices are described at stripe.com/privacy. Acquisera does not have access to or control over Stripe's cookies.
3.3Analytics
Acquisera uses Vercel Analytics for platform performance monitoring. Vercel Analytics is cookieless by design. It does not set any cookies, does not track individual users across sessions, does not build behavioral profiles, and does not share data with advertising networks. No cookie consent is required for Vercel Analytics.
3.4Cookies We Do Not Use
Acquisera does not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies;
- Cross-site behavioral tracking cookies;
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.);
- Third-party analytics cookies that identify individual users across websites; or
- Any cookie that is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
3.5Tracking Images in Outreach Email
The list above concerns cookies set by this website. Separately, outreach email sent by a subscriber through the Service carries a small tracking image that records when the message is opened. It is a pixel, so we name it here rather than leave it to be inferred from the section above. It is not a cookie, however: it sets nothing in your browser and has no bearing on your use of acquisera.com.
It records only that a message was retrieved, and when. It does not follow anyone between websites, is never combined with advertising data, and we do not use click tracking, so links in our outreach are never rewritten. The full description, its limits, and how to object are in Section 4.4 of our Privacy Policy.
4.Your Cookie Choices
4.1Browser Controls
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually or in bulk;
- Block all cookies or cookies from specific websites;
- Set preferences for first-party and third-party cookies separately; and
- Receive a notification when a cookie is being set.
Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
4.2Effect of Disabling Cookies
If you disable essential cookies (the Supabase session cookies), you will not be able to log in to the Acquisera platform. Core functionality including pipeline searches, account management, and billing require an authenticated session maintained by these cookies.
Disabling Stripe's payment cookies may prevent you from completing a subscription or add-on purchase. If you encounter payment issues, you may need to enable third-party cookies for stripe.com.
Disabling or blocking analytics has no effect on platform functionality. Vercel Analytics does not set cookies.
4.3Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal to websites. Acquisera does not currently respond to DNT signals because our analytics are cookieless and we do not use behavioral tracking. If this position changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.
5.Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or changes in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy at acquisera.com/cookies with a new “Last Updated” date. For material changes, we will also notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy.
